Haul of drugs confiscated in Hpakant, Kawthoung, Kyaukpadaung, Lashio

A combined contingent made up of policemen from Mohnyin Anti-Drug Squad-3 on March 21 searched U Nyo Than’s house in Hngapyawtaw Ward, Hpakant Township and discovered 3830 stimulant tablets and opium of inferior grade weighing 55 grams from the house, according to Information released by the Myanmar Police Force.

 

Similarly, policemen from Kyaukpadaung Myoma Police Station also inspected the house of Aung Myo Oo (a) Phalu in Ayeyeikthar Ward, Kawthoung and seized 1400 stimulant pills, stimulant powder weighing 20 grams, mitragyna speciosa weighing 30 grams, marijuana weighing 10 grams, K 1.18 million, Thai Baht 12500 and a mobile phone from him.

 

In a similar incident, a combined team comprising policemen from Kyaukpadaung Myoma Police Station on 21 March searched the house of Zin Ko Lat in Tharyayee Ward, Kyaukpadaung Township, and confiscated 1434 stimulant pills, K 261500 and a mobile phone while Policemen from Lashio Anti-Drug Squad on the same day searched Pari’s house in Kaugtat Village, Lashio Township and seized 10170 stimulant tablets, heroin weighing 96 grams and a mobile phone from his bed room and warehouse.

 

The authorities filed charges against the four under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MPF
