No casualties were reported in a staff housing fire in Minhla Township, Magway Region on 9 May.
A group of mason is building a new housing for teachers in the compound of a middle school in Zaygyi Village, Minhla Township. The fire is believed to have started from ember used by masons for cooking food and destroyed 10 rooms. Policemen from a nearby police station and local people put out the flame and no one was injured in the incident.
In connection with the case, a man named Zin Min Htet, 20, is being questioned over fire negligence by the local police.—Zar Zar (Ahtet Minhla)
