The Department of Rural Development carried out an upgrade work of a rural road to a concrete facility in Magyisu Village, Minbu Township in Magway Region.
The rural road is 800 ft. long, 15 ft. wide and 6 inch thick and improvement work was undertaken at a cost of Ks. 13.95 million by the DRD under its “Village Development Plan”. The upgrade work was cent percent completed and the rural road is expected to benefit 543 local people from the village, said an official from the DRD.
The DRD is implementing construction of five gravel roads, four concrete roads, and nine rural electrification projects in 16 villages in the township by spending nearly Ks. 190 million funded by the VDP and contributed by local people, he added.
