An inauguration of an indoor stadium was held at the people’s ground in Kalewa Township, Sagaing Region this morning in accordance with the virus rules set by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The sport facility was formally opened by U Kyaw Min Thant, Director of the Sports and Physical Education Department, Assistant Commissioner U Kyaw Soe Lwin, and Upper House MP U Ko Ko Naing by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. Next, the SPED official donated sports gear to the local authorities.
The steel structure indoor stadium is 120 ft. long and 90 ft. high and was built at a cost of 198 million kyats allotted by the local government in the financial year 2018-2019.
