Construction of an indoor stadium in the compound of the township sports grounds in Wundwin Township, Mandalay Region has been over 90 percent finished.
The purpose of the indoor stadium is to help sport enthusiasts use the facility in all seasons, thereby contributing to sport standard of the township. Once completed, the structure will host all sorts of sport events. The indoor stadium is being built by a private firm named, “Myint Myat Kyi Phyu Company” with Ks. 180 million funds allotted by the regional Sports and Physical Education Department in the fiscal year 2018-2019.
The facility is slated for completion in October. Upon completion, the stadium will host sport activities such as volleyball, badminton, table tennis and sepak takraw.
