Gangaw, 3 October
The inter-ward/village men’s open football tourney kicked off at the township sports ground in Gangaw, Magway Region on 2 October, with an address by the Pyithu Hluttaw Daw Yin Min Hlaing.
U Myoe Pe, an owner of a private patrol station donated Ks. 2.1 million for funding the football competition through an official from the Sports and Physical Education Department. Next, the team representing Shoneshi Village played against the squad representing Kyundat Village in the opening of the football contest. A total of 16 teams are participating in the event.
Also present on the occasion were Amyotha Hluttaw Representative U Pyue Lwin, Deputy Commissioner U Kyaw Min Nyo, Township Administrator U Maung Maung Aye, departmental staff and invited guests.
