K 150.0 million worth of drugs seized in Namhsan Township

Kyat 150.0 million worth of drugs seized in Namhsan Township of southern Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

 

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of members of Anti-Drug Squad searched an ALPHARD vehicle driven by Maung Than Shwe near Namhmaw Khauksint Village in Namhsan Township of Shan State (South) at 5:30 pm on March 20  and seized 500000 stimulant pills worth K 150.0 million.

 

Investigations revealed that the seized drugs were intended to transport from Shan state to Yangon region. The culprit has been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations are underway to identify the perpetrators of the crime chain.—MNA
