Local police nabbed drugs and weapons from a suspected drug smuggler during a house raid in Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region on Sunday.
An anti-drug squad together with eye witnesses raided the house of a suspicious drug trafficker identified as U Paik Oo Soe in Aye Yeik Nyein Ward, Kawthoung on 23 June. The found the home owner and discovered 18 grams of heroin powder, 40,000 stimulant tablets, 990 grams of speciosa, one handmade gun, one magazine and some bullets.
In connection with the case, the house owner has been charged with possession of drugs and weapons by the local police station.—Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
