CEREMONIES to honour and welcome back Tatmadaw mem­bers who had returned from the frontline after carrying out duties for regional security and stability around Moebye and across Kayah State were held yesterday evening at local battal­ions in Moebye and Laihka, Shan State (South). The events were attended by Tatmadaw person­nel from the Eastern Command and Eastern Central Command, along with relevant officials, de­partmental staff, teachers and local ethnic residents.

 

Tatmadaw members return­ing from the frontline, who had diligently and tirelessly carried out operational duties day and night on the battlefronts to en­sure that ethnic people across various regions and states can live, work and earn their liveli­hood in peace and comfort, and to guarantee the safety of their lives and property as well as to maintain national stability and regional peace, were warmly and enthusiastically welcomed and honoured by responsible officials from the respective commands and attendees.

 

The returning soldiers were welcomed with sprigs of Eugenia and ceremonial garlands of hon­our. Traditional Ozi drum per­formances and dance displays were also held in celebration. Cash rewards and honorary gifts were presented to the victorious returning Tatmadaw members. — MNA/MKKS
