Kyaukpadaung, 12 June
A man was drowned while taking a bath in a lake in Indaw Village, Kyaukpadaung Township in Mandalay Region, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.
The incident took place at about 11:05 a.m. on 9 June and firefighters arrived at the scene of accident in 10 minutes to carry out a search and rescue operation for the missing man. The missing man identified as Hlaing Min Oo was found dead and his body was recovered in the water about 35 minutes later by the rescuers.
His corpse was allegedly sent to a public hospital in Kyaukpadaung for autopsy, the ministry added.
