Land use certificates given to farmers from three townships

A ceremony to present land use certificate (Form-7) to 775 farmers from 22 village-tracts in Mohnyin, Mogaung and Phakant Townships was held at Seinle Yadanar Hall in Mohnyin Township, Kachin State this morning, with an address by Kachin State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Kyaw Kyaw Win.

In his address, the minister said that the local government is making utmost efforts to benefit farmers, saying a plan was drawn up so as to present land use certificates to them. Next, an official from the Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics said that the government is planning to issue land use certificates for 303195 acres of farmland belonging to 34067 farmers across the country. So far, land use certificates have been issued for 25,000 acres of land owned by 15,855 farmers.

Afterwards, the minister and concerned officials presented land use certificates for more than 8552 acres to 775 farmers from three townships.—Kyaw Kyaw Htwe (Mohnyin)
