Large haul of narcotics seized in Tachilek Twsp.

Authorities seized a total of 10  kilograms of happy water worth Ks. 1.1 billion in Tachilik Township, Shan state (East), according to Myanmar Police Force.

 

The Central Committee on Drug Abuse Control is speeding up the effective prevention and suppression of narcotics and psychotropic drugs that pose a threat to young people. Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched three motorcycles along with five suspects in Pashan ward-3 on Bogyoke Road in the town of Tachilek at 7:30 pm on 11 May and a total of 5.4 kilos of happy water were confiscated from five suspects.

 

Similarly, members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a TOYOTA CROWN car driven by Sailung Tit in Sansai(b) Ward in  the town of Tachilek at 7:00 pm on 12 May and seized a total of 5.49 kilos of happy water from the car.

 

According to the investigation, happy water weighing 136 grams were found in the home of Sailung Tit in Sansai(b) Ward in the Town of Tachilek.

 

The Township police filed a case against the suspects in connection with the case and further investigation is underway, according to Myanmar Police Force.—MNA
