At least 10 killed in Kabul mosque explosion: reports

At least 10 people, including a prominent cleric, were killed in an explosion that ripped through a mosque in Kabul during evening prayers on Wednesday, according to media reports.

 

The emergency hospital in the Afghan capital said they had received 27 people wounded in the blast, including children.

 

Eyewitnesses said the explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber.

 

Last week, a blast in Kabul killed two people, including a renowned religious scholar. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
