At least 6 killed in shootings over deadly weekend in Southern California: media

Over the weekend, Southern California witnessed a series of shooting incidents in which at least 6 people were killed, U.S. media reported on Monday.

KABC-TV, the West Coast flagship station of the ABC television network, noted that it was a bloody weekend in Southern California, with five deadly shootings taking place, and only one arrest.

Police officers were investigating incidents from West Hills to Chino on Monday morning, said the report.

Saturday morning in Van Nuys, one man was killed and another wounded when a gunman knocked on a door then shot inside the home when it opened. Also on Saturday, one victim was found in Artesia, according to the report.

On Sunday, in Chino, police officers found a shooting victim dead in a parking lot. And in Hollywood, police said an argument led to two people being gunned down, the report added.

Another shooting in a shopping center parking lot in West Hills left one person killed and four injured, said the report.
