LEGAL affairs working commit-tee for eradication of child labour in Myanmar held its third meeting at the Union Attorney-General’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on 1 October.
Deputy Attorney General U Win Myint, the chairman of working committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
He said that eradication of child labour is a national duty of the country, and a national level committee and eight working committee have been formed to perform this task.
He added the legal affairs working committee will focus on better laws to eradicate child labours.
Yangon Region, Bago Region, Ayeyawady Region, Kayin State and Mon State were designated as prioritized project areas, while his committee has been implementing 11 processes.
The working committee will also report the findings in legal issues to the national committee.
The representatives of relevant departments, Nay Pyi Taw Council, and members State/Region governments also discussed the implementation of committee.
