With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans to implement emerald green projects were disbursed to farmers at the house of chairman of Emerald Green Project committee in Chemyitgyin Village in Khin-U Township, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region yesterday.
The disbursement of loan is the fifth of its kind in which a staff officer from the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abided by the rural people.
Afterwards, officials from DRD handed over K 58.0 million to local people in Chemyitgyin Village. Altogether 149 people - 77 people in agriculture business, 63 in livestock breeding business, 8 in trading business, one in other received loans of projects.—Soe Wei Aung(Khin-U)
