With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for implementation of emerald green projects were disbursed to farmers at the office of the Township Department of Rural Development in Khin-U Township, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region on 23 August.
Officials from DRD handed over K 58.0 million to local people in Chemyitgyin Village. Altogether 149 people - 77 people in agriculture business, 63 in livestock breeding business, 8 in trading business, one in other business received loans.
Then, officials from DRD also disbursed 41.8 million loans to farmers at the house of the chairman of Emerald Green Project committee in Sutat Village in Khin-U Township on 24 August.
Altogether 149 people - 46 people in agriculture business, 95 in livestock breeding business, 20 in commodity production business, 8 in trading business and 6 who will attend vocational school received loans.—Chit San (Khin-U)
