THE Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development held a ceremony to explain and hand over Village Development Project (VDP) activities implemented during the 2026-2027 financial year in Saikkwin 3 Village in Loikaw Township yesterday.
Daw Ei Ei Khin, Head of the Loikaw District Department of Rural Development explained the objectives of handing over the project activities and the status of project implementation. Loikaw Township Department of Rural Development Head U Nyar Yel and departmental officials then handed over project manuals and handover records to committee members.
Under the project (VDP), fencing work for public-benefit buildings in the village were implemented with project support funds of K15 million. Villagers systematically carried out the works, and the completed works were handed over to the respective village committee members. — Sein Lwin (Rural)
