Long-lasting insecticide-treated bed nets provided to locals in Mrauk-U

In a bid to prevent dengue hemorrhagic fever, health staff provided long-lasting insecticide-treated bed nets to local people in wards in Mrauk-U Township yesterday morning.

Health staff led by malaria inspector U Kyaw San Lin provided 796 long-lasting insecticide-treated bed nets to 1472 people in 283 houses in Phayapaw ward, 6350 LLINs to 11746 people in 1094 houses in Thamayit, Kyaukyitkay, Aung Mingalar, Myinkhondan, Shwe Daung and Wathae wards in the town of Mrauk-U.


The bed nets are donations from The Global Fund and the team will continue to distribute the bed nets free of charge to local people throughout the township, it is learnt.— Mrauk-U district (IPRD)
