A magnitude 6.6 earthquake has struck near Tonga in the southern Pacific Ocean.
The US Geological Survey says the quake occurred about 130 kilometers off Tonga's Neiafu Island at 22:43 UTC on Monday.
The USGS estimates that the depth of the earthquake was 13 kilometers and its magnitude was 6.6.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii says there is no threat of tsunami.
