A ceremony was held at City Hall in Magway on the evening of 6 June to honour citizens from People’s Military Service batches 1 and 2 who completed their service and returned home after fulfilling national defence and security duties.
Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko, senior military officers from the local military station, the Chief Justice of the Regional High Court, regional ministers and returning service members attended the event.
The Chief Minister delivered a speech of honour and, together with officials, presented cash awards of K100,000 each to 316 returning people’s military servants from Magway Region.
