Magway University to host youth development festival in December

Magway University will host an All-Round Youth Development Festival in December this year and a coordination meeting for the festival was held at the Magway Region Government office yesterday.

 

Union Minister for Information, Dr Pe Myint, and Regional Chief Minister Dr Aung Moe Nyo delivered separate addresses at the meeting. In his speech, the Union Minister said the Ministry of Information is working closely with related ministries and the Magway Region Government to ensure this festival will be successful. He said he views the festivals as contributing in some way to the region they are held in.

 

Likewise, this festival will be beneficial in the future of the youths in Magway Region, said the Union Minister, adding that partaking in the festival will create lifelong memories for them and the teamwork and active participation of the festival will support their future. Following this, Dr Aung Moe Nyo suggested on the literature, technology, arts and sports components that should be included in the festival.

 

Next, IPRD Director-General U Ye Naing presented the proposed arrangements for the festival and attendees input their suggestions. Dr Pe Myint then delivered closing remarks and concluded the meeting. After the meeting, the Union Minister visited the Magway IPRD office and inspected the public library.
