Bokepyin, 22 December
One man was killed in a religious building collapse in Bokepyin Township, Taninthayi Region, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A man identified as U Aung Ngwe (alias) Pyine Cho, 46 years old was trapped after an old three-storey building collapsed while he was sitting under the structure. He received severe injuries to his head and his body and was pronounced dead on the spot.
The body of victim was transferred to a public hospital in Bokepyin for medical examination and an investigation into the collapse of the building is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
