Mandalarain artists exhibit more than 100 paintings

Mandalay-based painters showcased different works of art ranging from watercolor paintings to oil paintings at an exhibition in Mandalay today.

 

A total of 10 artists displayed their creative art works at the art show headlined, “New Year New Men Group” at Mandalay Hill Art Gallery at the base of the Mandalay Hill in Aungmyaythazan Township. Patron of the Upper Myanmar Painting Association U Zaw Win, Chairman of the Upper Myanmar Painting Association U Marlar and veteran painter U Aung Than also attended the opening ceremony of the art show and spoke congratulatory speeches.

 

Professional photographer NyaungU Than Htay, Moe Oo, Kyaw Soe, Sandar Win, Aye Thidar Hlaing, Soe Nyein, Khin Aung Wint, Zaw Tun Lin, Mawsi, and Swe naing Sis featured over 100 of their best paintings, ranging from watercolour painting to acrylic paintings. The art show will be open to public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until 5 January.

 

The art exhibition is crowded with students from the National University of Arts and Culture, the State School of Fine Arts and art enthusiasts.—Maung Pyithu
