Mandalay Region Chief Minister Dr Zaw Myint Maung visited construction site of Ayeyarwady Centre for COVID-19 patients in the compound of Mandalar Thiri Stadium yesterday. Mayor of Mandalay City Dr Ye Lwin also looked into the project to provide assistance from his office.
Set up by the Ayeyarwady Foundation, the COVID-19 Treatment Centre (Chanmyathazi) will be a 300-bedded facility equipped with HDU and oxygen therapy for 100 beds, and it will also have the test and care unit.
The foundation has established a 1,000 bedded centre in Yangon for COVID-19 patients.—Ye Yint Shine
