Mark World Meteorological Day across the world

All living beings including human beings started their lives in fear of impacts from the natural environment, especially severe climatic conditions such as strong winds, storms, flooding, earthquake, lightning, thunders, heavy rains, mist and so on.

At an early age of the world, human beings did not have the talents and skills to face the severe impacts of nature as well as other giants. Gradually, they initiate all things how to manage and how to overcome the challenges they daily face.

While trying to survive in all eras, human beings are skilful in analyzing the climatic conditions in the evolution of the world. Weather, climate and water extremes are becoming more frequent and intense in many parts of the world as a result of climate change.

More of us are exposed than ever before to multiple related hazards, which are themselves evolving as a result of population growth, urbanization and environmental degradation.

After passing thousands of years, human beings currently become professionals to forecast weather for all how to evade the impacts of climatic conditions, natural disasters and manmade severe conditions.

In fact, everybody does not have the chance to choose any options for avoiding good and bad climatic conditions but they have to accept the concept that being living beings, they all have to be under the control of climatic conditions in their daily life.

Hence, everybody needs to accept the important role of meteorology. That is why the first World Meteorological Day was held on 23 March 1961 as an act of not forgetting its important role. It is because the commemorative day aims to analyze the climatic conditions which may benefit the global people to bring bad impacts on them.

World Meteorological Day 23 March 2022, therefore, has the theme “Early Warning and Early Action”, and spotlights the vital importance of Hydro meteorological and Climate Information for Disaster Risk Reduction. Greater coordination between national meteorological and hydrological services, disaster management authorities and development agencies is fundamental to better prevention, preparedness and response.

Everybody knows “Man Matters Most”. They have the capacity to analyze meteorological measures. It is true that the climatic conditions mentioned in the meteorology can manipulate the planet Earth and the global people. Now, they have skills to partially defy bad weather with avoidance of possible situations through weather forecasts.

Humans do not have supernatural power. But they all have initiative skills and the capacity to analyze everything and every event. Applying such skills, human beings have conquered the natural environment through preparedness and relentless efforts.
