Mass immunization campaign conducted in Myinmu Twsp.

The staff from the Department of Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports conducted a mass immunization campaign against polio, measles and rubella at the ward administrator’s office in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region starting from 19 may.

 

The mass vaccination campaign was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak. The department’s medical staff will inject 272 children aged less than one year and 6 month old and 70 pregnant women with vaccination against various diseases such as measles and rubella free of charge till 29 May, said Daw Yin Yin Nu, a nurse from the Department of Health.

 

The mass vaccination campaign against measles and rubella for kids under 5 years old is being carried out across the country with the aim of complete elimination of the diseases.—Aung Soe Pe (Myinmu)
