Staff from the township Department of Livestock, Breeding and Veterinary (LBVD) under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation conducted a mass immunization campaign against rabies at its office in Kyonpyaw Township, Ayeyarwady Region this morning.
At the event, staff officer of the township LBVD Dr. Shwe Han Mu delivered a speech and clarified the purposes of the immunization campaign.
Afterwards, Dr. Shwe Han Mu and medical staff from the Township LBVD injected domestic dogs against rabies free of charge under the global strategic plan to prevent human deaths from dog-transmitted rabies by 2030.
