Lahe, 4 June
The staff from the Department of Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports relaunched a mass immunization campaign against polio, measles and rubella in Lahe Township in Sagaing Region's Naga Self-administered Zone starting from 3 June.
The mass vaccination campaign was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak. The department's medical staff injected children aged less than one year and 6 month old and pregnant women with vaccination against various diseases such as measles and rubella free of charge, said Daw Yin Yin Nu, a nurse from the Department of Health.
The mass vaccination campaign against measles and rubella for kids under 5 years old is being carried out across the country with the aim of complete elimination of the diseases.
