Min Hla Township in Bago Region has successfully completed the cultivation of 14,284 acres of summer paddy for 2026, meeting its planned target. The cultivation was supported by irrigation water from Kan Tin Bilin Dam, Min Hla Dam, and Mukkha Dam, according to the Township Agriculture Department.
Farmers used various planting methods, including seeding, rice transplanters, frame planting, and traditional techniques, depending on soil conditions and water availability. The cultivated varieties include Yadanar Toe, Ye Sin Paw San, Aung Naing Toe, Thai Hankaung, Vietnamese rice, and 90-day rice.
The Township Agriculture and Livestock Supervision Committee is ensuring a steady water supply and providing agricultural support to farmers to help achieve higher yields.—Pauksa (Min Hla)
