SAC Member and Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae inspected the damage caused by the earthquake at the Ministry of Border Affairs and its staff housing on 28 March.
On 29 March, the Union Minister and his team assessed the damage again, instructed relevant social organizations to cooperate in rescue operations, and provided encouragement to staff and their families.
On 31 March, the Union Minister and his team oversaw relief efforts at the temporary relief camp set up at the ministry. He met with employees’ family members at the camp, offered words of encouragement, inspected office cleanliness, and provided necessary recommendations.
The team then visited the staff housing units affected by the earthquake, observed relief operations conducted by relief teams and social organizations, and presented cash to them.
Finally, the Union Minister and his team met with affected staff and their families, ensuring their relocation to temporary rescue camps as required. — MNA/MKKS
