U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, received Mr Francis Pio Smith, Regional Director, Asia and Pacific Regional Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Bangkok, on 19 December 2023, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
They exchanged views on matters related to UNFPA programmatic engagement and the possible ways for the Government of Myanmar and UNFPA to cooperate in the future.
Also present at the meeting were Mr Ramanathan Balakrishnan, UNFPA Representative for Myanmar, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. — MNA
