MoI Union Minister inspects rehearsal for opening of Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan

Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan Activi­ty Organizing Committee Un­ion Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn yesterday morning inspected the rehears­al for opening the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan activities from the Maha Thingyan pa­vilion of Nay Pyi Taw Mayor to Sipin guest house junction on Pyinmana-Taungnyo road and zonal preparations.

 

He viewed the process of launching the festival and en­tertainment on the dancing of choral dance troupes from rel­evant ministries.

 

Korean K-pop singers Re­jen, Henny and 7Kids Dream Group, Astel Dance Group, and DJ-Saemi, who will perform cultural exchange between Myanmar and Korea and pres­ent entertainment to Myanmar people at the central pavilion of walking Thingyan activities called on the Union Minister, and they joined the dances of the choral dance troupes in the rehearsal process.

 

The Union minister inspect­ed preparations for staff and people to enjoy water-throwing activities at the pavilions of min­istries, national races, the cen­tral pavilion of walking Thingyan activities, the pavilion of Rus­sia-Myanmar Friendly Relations Association and pavilions of China-Myanmar-India friendly relations, serving refreshments, Thingyan festival activities of national race, Satuditha (charity feast), ministries and youths, rehearsal performance of choral dance troupes from ministries, and water-throwing activities. The Union minister instructed officials to manage no shortage of water in the walking Thingyan activities, readiness to provide healthcare services, and take security measures without weakness.

 

At this year’s Nay Pyi Taw walking Thingyan activities, local artistes, Korean actors, and K-pop singers will perform song entertainment in the ac­companiment of a band and DJ performers. Nyanatheikdi family water-throwing pavilion of the Ministry of Construction will perform entertainment of famous artistes and serve re­freshments to the people.

 

Moreover, Russian youth artistes will present songs at the pavilion, whereas the My­anmar-India friendship pavil­ion will serve refreshments to visitors.

 

The Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan Festival 2024 aims to create joyfulness for staff and families in Nay Pyi Taw as well as the general people and show off the unity of staff, solidarity and oneness of the people and the government, lasting from 13 to 16 April. — MNA/TTA
