Mon literature and language course opens in Kyaikmaraw

A Mon literature and language course was opened at a religious building in Kyaikkalot Village, Kyaikmaraw Township in Mon State on Wednesday.

           

The intention of the course is to train the children how to effectively manage the time and how to write and speak Mon literature and Mon language during summer holidays. Firstly, the abbot of the monastery explained the purpose of the course. The Information and Public Relations Department also distributed 300 pamphlets that were published to mark the 74th anniversary of the Armed Forces Day free of charge.

The Mon language proficiency course was organized by the village’s Mon Literature and Language Committee. The course runs from 27 March to 12 April and is being attended by 155 children.—Cho Myat Myat Htwe (Kyaikmaraw)
