It was approved following a vote during the fifth day of the second regular session of the third Mon State Hluttaw, held on 19 June in Mawlamyine.

The motion was introduced by U Thant Zaw, the State Hluttaw representative from the Kyaikmaraw Township Constituency 2. Additionally, U Tin Zaw Tun, the State Minister for Social Affairs, presented the government’s stance on the matter.

Following the discussions, U Thet Htwe, Speaker of the Mon State Hluttaw, sought a final decision from the Hluttaw. As all representatives expressed their agreement, the Speaker declared that the motion had been approved without objection. — TWA/ZN
