No casualties were reported in a fire in at a monastery on Ward-3, Kyaukme Township in Northern Shan State this morning.
Upon receiving information about the fire, firefighters and policemen rushed to the scene of fire. They took about 35 minutes to completely put out the blaze with the use of four fire engines and fire extinguishers. No one was injured in the incident but the fire engulfed a two-storey building.
The fire is believed to have started from an overheated invertor. The estimated loss of property due to the fire is about Ks. 9 million.—IPRD
