MP U Tun Tun Oo from Paungde Constituency has been appointed Regional Minister for Immigration and Human Resource Development during a parliamentary session in Bago this morning.
Out of 76 regional lawmakers, 68 legislators with a ratio of 87.47 percent attended the parliamentary session. The regional parliament speaker announced the confirmation of U Tun Tun Oo who was nominated by the regional chief minister as regional minister for immigration and human resource development without any against vote.
The appointee residdes in Paungde Township and holds a degree of B.Sc. (Chemistry). He was elected with 70.23 percent of vote in the 2015 General Elections. He served as member of the Government’s Guarantees, Pledges and Undertaking Vetting Committee and Industry, Electricity and Road Transport Committee in the regional parliament.
He raised 51 questions to the regional parliament including 13 starred questions and 38 non-starred questions during the period from 8 February 2016 to 8 February 2019.—Hein Htet (Bago)
