DEPUTY Minister for So­cial Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Than Soe inspected rehabil­itation and reconstruc­tion work in Tiddim and provided donations, con­struction materials and relief supplies for affect­ed residents.

The deputy minister, who chairs the rehabil­itation and reconstruc­tion committee in Chin State, attended a dona­tion ceremony at the Tid­dim Township General Administration Depart­ment office together with officials and committee members.

Authorities gave iron sheets, nail, cement and relief assistance for 85 households, including two-week food supplies and cash assistance worth more than K21 million.

Officials also inspect­ed damaged government buildings and homes in Tiddim, ongoing rehabili­tation work jointly carried out by the government, Tatmadaw and locals, and visited patients receiving treatment at the town’s 100-bed hospital District. — IPRD/KZL
