Mushroom poison claim one dead in Minhla

One man has reportedly died  and seven other have been hospitalized after eating toxic mushrooms in Minhla Township, Magway Region on 29 June.
    

 

A group of villagers suffered a range of symptoms, from headaches and diarrhea to vomiting after they ate toxic mushrooms which were found in a forest near Zaipyar Village in Minhla Township. Among nine affected—four men and two women and two children—one man identified as U Shwe Hton, 31 years old died in a public hospital in Padan Town. The corpse was cremated at a village cemetery.

 


Out of the seven poisoned people, eight people were allowed to leave the hospital, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.—MOHA
