THE Myanmar Football Federation has appointed Japanese national Ryuji Sueoka as the head coach of the Myanmar U19 national football team.
Until last year, U Aung Naing served as the head coach of the Myanmar U19 team. After his contract expired, the decision was made to appoint a Japanese head coach. Ryuji Sueoka has played for clubs in Singapore, Thailand and India during his playing career and holds a UEFA Pro Coaching Licence. With the Myanmar U19 team, Ryuji Sueoka will aim to achieve good results in the 2025 ASEAN U19 Championship and the AFC U20 qualifying matches. He will also serve as the assistant coach for the Myanmar U22 team.
