Myanmar to continue participating in international tourism expos

Union Minister for Hotel and Tourism U Ohn Maung and Deputy Minister U Tin Latt attended a coordination meeting for promotion of Myanmar tourism industry held at the Center for Tourism Development on Bosonpat street in Yangon yesterday morning.
At the meeting, the Union Minister confirmed that Myanmar, as usual, will take part in the international tourism expos in the 2019-2020 financial year while the ministry is working together with the private sectors to promote the non-smoke industry of the country.
He also called for the discussions to ensure significant results from these events.
The Deputy Minister and senior officials, tourism associations and private organizations exchanged views and the Union Minister coordinated the discussions.
On 30 November evening, a welcoming dinner was hosted to hounour the representatives of JATA Fam Trip from Japan.
At the dinner in Pullman Yangon Centre Point Hotel in Yangon, the Union Minister talked about arrangements of Fam Trips, the formation of working groups, relaxation of visa policies, participating in international tourism expos, and promoting tourist attraction sites by digital marketing.
He also advised the representatives of Fam Trip to share pleasant, peaceful and exciting experiences to the people in Japan.
The Japanese ambassador and an official from JATA Fam Trip also extended greetings at the dinner.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
