THE 2026 Myanmar Fight next-generation traditional Lethwei competition was held at 1 pm yesterday at Theinbyu Gymna­sium in Mingala Taungnyunt Township, Yangon.

 

The event was jointly organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education, the Myanmar Traditional Leth­wei Federation and Myanmar Martial Art Group (MMAG), with sponsorship from Myanma Economic Holdings Public Com­pany Limited. A total of 10 three-round bouts were contested. Several matches ended in draws after intense exchanges, while Kaung Set Min defeated Kyaw Gyi by knockout in the second round.

 

Other bouts saw Tun Lin Aung win after Francis retired in the third round, and Tein Hlwa secure victory when the referee stopped the fight against Saw El Do in the third round. The matches were held under a three-round format of three minutes per round with two-minute breaks. — Bala/KZL
