THE  Myanmar  Futsal  League  2019-2020, which will be super-vised by the Myanmar Football Federation, will be held in No-vember. Twelve teams will com-pete in the tourney, according to a statement issued yesterday by the football federation.

Ten futsal clubs which par-ticipated  in  last  year’s  Myan-mar Futsal League and the two winning  teams  of  the  upcom-ing  qualifiers  for  the  tourney  will play in the 2019-2020 futsal league.Qualifiers  will  be  held  ahead  of  the  2019-2020  edition  of the league, and the MFF has invited amateur futsal clubs for the  qualification  round.  Inter-ested teams can register at the headquarters of the MFF in Yan-gon between 16 and 30 October.

According to the rules and regulations  set  by  the  football  federation, the interested teams will have to pay K100,000 as fee for  the  qualifiers  and  another  K100,000 as deposit.

The two best teams in the qualifiers will play in the Myan-mar  Futsal  League  2019-2020,  which  is  scheduled  to  be  held  in the third week of November.

To be eligible for the tour-ney,  futsal  clubs  will  need  to  have  16  players  at  the  least  and  20  players  at  the  most,  and a maximum of two foreign players.  “The  clubs  also  need  to  have  two  under-19  players.  This rule has been included to encourage  young  talent,”  ac-cording to officials.
