THE Myanmar Futsal League 2019-2020, which will be super-vised by the Myanmar Football Federation, will be held in No-vember. Twelve teams will com-pete in the tourney, according to a statement issued yesterday by the football federation.
Ten futsal clubs which par-ticipated in last year’s Myan-mar Futsal League and the two winning teams of the upcom-ing qualifiers for the tourney will play in the 2019-2020 futsal league.Qualifiers will be held ahead of the 2019-2020 edition of the league, and the MFF has invited amateur futsal clubs for the qualification round. Inter-ested teams can register at the headquarters of the MFF in Yan-gon between 16 and 30 October.
According to the rules and regulations set by the football federation, the interested teams will have to pay K100,000 as fee for the qualifiers and another K100,000 as deposit.
The two best teams in the qualifiers will play in the Myan-mar Futsal League 2019-2020, which is scheduled to be held in the third week of November.
To be eligible for the tour-ney, futsal clubs will need to have 16 players at the least and 20 players at the most, and a maximum of two foreign players. “The clubs also need to have two under-19 players. This rule has been included to encourage young talent,” ac-cording to officials.
