The House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Thailand presented 300,000 face masks to the Pyithu Hluttaw of Myanmar on 29 October. On behalf of Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat, Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand U Myo Myint Than accepted the masks.
Mr Chuan Leekpai, the Speaker of the Thai House of Representatives, also donated 2,000 masks on 24 April, and Mr Suchart Tancharoen, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand handed over 60,000 masks on 26 June respectively for mitigating the situation of COVID-19 through the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.—MNA
