Seven Myanmar seafarers from a ship docked at a jetty in the Andaman Sea near Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region were quarantined at a hotel in Kawthoung on July 7.
They transferred duty with 12 other Myanmar seafarers who waited for them in Kawthoung in advance. The cargo ship arrived at an island near Kawthoung in the Andaman Sea yesterday evening after returning from Bangladesh.
Myanmar seafarers get medical checked by a combined team and their samples were taken by medical staff for coronavirus test and would be sent to Yangon National Lab.
