A Myanmar delegation led by Vice-Chair(1) Lt-Gen Ye Aung (Retd) of the Myanmar War Veterans Organization attended the 35th Executive Board Meeting of Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC) held on 27 November in Manila, the Philippines.
The meeting was attended by presidents and representatives of veterans’ organizations from 10 VECONAC member countries. They reviewed and discussed ten resolutions to be submitted to the 22nd General Assembly and decided to approve nine.
The 22nd General Assembly of the VECONAC was held on 28 November. The presidents and wives of veterans’ organizations from ten VECONAC member countries, delegates, observers, and invitees attended the general assembly. MWVO Vice-Chair(1) Lt-Gen Ye Aung (Retd) read the country report.
At the General Assembly, the nine resolutions that were discussed and decided upon at the 35th Executive Board meeting of the VECONAC were approved. Additionally, ten member countries of VECONAC signed a joint declaration. — MNA/KZW
