MYANMAR won one gold med-al and one bronze medal at the 11th ASEAN School Games, held at Semarang, Central Java in Indonesia. The week-long Games started on 18 July. The opening ceremony was held at the Holy Terang Bangsa School Stadium in Semarang, Central Java.
In track and field competi-tion, Saw December Thein from Myanmar won the gold medal in the Hammer Throw event of Athletics with a record of 56-86, while Lwee Zar of Myanmar received the bronze medal in the Girls’ 3000m with a record of 10:49.97. —MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Lin)
