The Deputy Commissioner’s Cup U-21 men’s football tournament was opened at Myoma sports ground in Myaungmya, Ayeyawady Region on 24 July.
First, Deputy Commissioner U Thaung Tin Htwe made an opening speech and the participating teams took oath. The team representing Myaungmya Township played against the squad representing Einme Township in the opening match of the tourney. The competition runs from 24 July to 5 August and total of six teams are taking part in the contest.
The champion team will be awarded Ks. 700,000 while the runner-up Ks. 500,000. The third place team will receive Ks. 300,000 and the player of the tourney will be presented Ks. 40,000.—Aung Min
