Myothit Township in Magway Region has completed cultivation of 5,960 acres of summer paddy for the 2025–2026 season, surpassing the target of 5,784 acres, according to the Township Agriculture Department.
The Township Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department supplied water from four dams: Natmauk Dam irrigated 4,044 acres, Pulin Dam 706 acres, Son Dam 646 acres, and Saddan Dam 564 acres.
During the planting season, agriculture staff provided field guidance to farmers on selecting high-yield rice varieties, systematic cultivation methods, and proper use of soil and fertilizers to help improve productivity.— Win Ei June (IPRD)
