A combined team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched an EXPRESS car driven by Moe Thura with Pyae Sone Aung and Zin Min Tun on board near Yadanabon Bridge at about 5:00 pm on June 19 and captured 28 kilos of raw opium.
Similarly, a combined team searched a TOYOTA MARK II car driven by Kyaw Myint with Khant Si Thu and Ma Moh Moh Myat on board near Ward-1 in the Town of Yeni, Yedashe Township of Bago Region at about 9:30 pm on the same day and seized 456000 stimulant tablets.
In a similar incident, a combined team inspected a TOYOTA WISH vehicle near a toll gate in Pahat Ward in Naungcho Township of northern Shan State at about 4:45 pm on the same day and confiscated 0.96 kilo of Happy Water and 450 Etc tablets.
The offenders have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MPF
